MILITARY SUPPORT MINISTRY- ADOPT-A-FAMILY    Please support our military families by "adopting" a family who has a loved one deployed overseas. You can make a difference in their lives by: praying for them, contatin and visiting them, and encouraging them while their spouse is deployed. LOTTIE MOON CHRISTMAS OFFERING There is still time to give; this offering will not be sent until Jan. 10th.
SBCTA ANNUAL MEETING will be on January 23rd at Grace Baptist Church, Salado, Texas. A free supper meal will start at 5pm and the evening worship service and short meeting will start at 6:30pm. Troy Brooks will be the special guest speaker. Child Care will be able through 5 year olds. More information coming.

Cafe Connection: This is a great time to fellowship, (10:15-10:45 am on Sunday mornings) get to know each other and welcome our guests. Come-om-down to the Fellowship Hall and get a cup of coffee, juice and a donut.

WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY New class starts on August 31 at 6:30 pm. The study is "Calm My Anzious Heart" by Linda Dillow and will be taught by Brenda Titus. Marriage Builder's Workshop May 7th and 8th here are RABC starting at 6 pm Friday, includes supper, Saturday's sessions start at 9 am and will last until 4 pm, lunch included. The cost  is $20 per couple. Nursery is available for children 5 years old and under. Please sign up at the info table. Limited to 15 couples.
NURSERY WORKER APPLICATIONS ARE BEING ACCEPTED FOR 3 POSITIONS SOON TO BE AVAILABE. THERE ARE PART-TIME POSITIONS. All nursery workers must complete a CPR and FIRST AID CERTIFICATION (provided by the church). Teaching is required.

CPR/FIRST AID classes will be taught here at our church on Thursday, March 11 at 6pm and Friday , March 12 at 9 am. These classes are free to church members.
PRAYER FAST will be for our mission outreach event at Cedar Grove Community on March 27th. The purpose of this prayer fast from March 22nd-24th is seek God's power and direction when working in this community. Fasting is a dedicated and committed time to seriously focus on God's will to be done.
ANNIE ARMSTRONG WEEK OF PRAYER (March 7th-14th) is for all the Southern Baptist North American Missionaries.

Beth Moore Bible Study for ladies will begin Sunday Jan 10 at 5:00 pm. Monica Jones will lead us through this study. Workbooks are $12.00 if you would like to purchase one.
Men's Bible Study will start a new Bible Study on the Parables of the Kingdon from the book of Matthew. It will start on January 14th at 6:30 pm. If you would like to purchase a workbook , they are $5.00.
The Fun Bunch  is for anyone who is 50 years of age and older and likes to do  activities with those their age. The group will meet on January 15th at Giovanni's in the Cove Terrace Shopping Center at 6 pm.
Annual Association Meeting will be help at First Baptist Church of Academy, on January 24th starting with a supper meal from  5-6:00 pm and worship at 6:00 pm. There will be no evening activities at our church that night, so we can all go. Please use the sign up sheet on the information table so we can let FBC Academy know an approx. number attending the meal.
Sunday School Life Groups meet on Sunday mornings at 9:45 am. We have classes for all age groups.

Community Thanksgiving Service is on Tuesday November 17th at 7pm at the Saints Center at 801 Industrial Avenue, Cove. Our Praise Band has been asked to provide the music.
Mission Cove Meeting November 10 at 1:00 pm
Mission Cove Update: Downtown Halloween event on Oct. 31 from 6-8 pm. We are planning to entertain the children with a Jump House and simple games, giving them prizes and candy. There will be a raffle for a Wii game system; the tickets will be given to those who hear the gospel message. We will need lots of helpers to run games, witness, set-up and clean-up (4pm-9pm)
The other event is our Thanksgiving Festival at Cedar Grove Community (Topsey Road) on November 22nd. We will have a fellowship meal with the community and free food staples will be given to families. Please Pray for these events and make plans to be part of the outreach to our city.

Reach TEXAS offering is an annual State Missions offering of the Southern Baptist of Texas Convention. Our statewide goal is $1.1 million which helps to start new church plants, support our Mission Service Corps, Disaster Relief, and the education needed to help our missionaries reach thi great state of Texas. Our church goal is $2000. We have collected $385. There are Reach Texas brochures on the information table for more details.
The Promise in Glen Rose, TX  is a musical experience of the life of Christ. The church is planning a trip to the amphitheatre on Friday, Octorber 23rd. If you would like to go, sign up by Oct. 14th so we can try to get a group rate on tickets.

AWANA KICK-OFF- Sunday Sept. 13 starting at 5pm. We will be celebrating the start of our AWANA program with activities on our church grounds. There is still some positions to be filled before we will be at full staff. BABY SHOWER for Jeff and Darla will be August 16th right after morning service.
MISSION COVE will be August 3rd-7th. We are in the last stages of planning. We need to know if you are going on the mission trip trip into our city. This mission needs everone to help throughout the week. We will need lots of help erecting a 40X60 tent on Monday afternoon and taking it down on Friday morning. We need everyone to be part of our evening activities Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday night from 7-9pm. If you want to help with food prep and feeding the missionaries, see Darla Tuiasosopo. Everyone can pray that the neighborhoods will receive the invitation to meet our Savior Jesus Christ and come to the daily events. BABY BOTTLE BOOMERANG  is  an easy way for you to support Hope Pregnancy Centers, Inc. Pick up a baby boottle from the display table in the foyer, fill the bottle with coins, currency, or checks and return it to the church. You may trade your filled bottle for an empty one as needed. SUMMER CAMPS are a great place for our children and youth  to spiritually grow. Our boys will be going to RA Camp July 27th-31st and our girls will be going to GA Camp June 8th-12th. Our youth will be going to Youth Camp July 13-17. If you would like to sponsor a child or youth camper, or be an Adult Counselor at camp, please contact Darla Tuiasosopo, pastor or staff.

ASSOCIATION EVANGELISM RALLY is on April 26th at Lakeview Baptist Church starting at 4 pm (1st session). A supper meal will start at 5 pm and worship service at 6 pm. The church van will leave at 3:30 pm.
CAMP SUNDAY FUNDRAISER is a pot-luck luncheon on April 26th after the 11 am service. We will also have a  dessert auction which will give us an opportunity to support our children and youth camps. We also need people to bake pies or cakes to sell in the auction.
VBS WORKSHOP is for everyone who is interested in being part of our VBS this year. The workshop is from 10am- noontime. VBS is June 14-18, 2009 from 5:30-8:30 pm. For more details contact Rosalia Martinez or the church office.
HELP NEEDED to assist Curtis James install our new projection system in the sanctuary. No technical experience necessary, only helpful and willing hands. We'll begin at 1pm Wednesday and finish sometime on Thursday (April 8-9).

BROTHERHOOD (MEN'S) BREAKFAST is the third Saturday of each month at 7am in the Fellowship Hall. The study topic will continue with "The Quest for Authentic Manhood." This is a great time of food, fellowship, and growth.
ANNIE ARMSTRONG EASTER OFFERING is for our Southern Baptist North American missionaries, who work in partnership with state conventions, associations, and local churches in the United States, Canada and their territories, in sharing Jesus with those who have never responded to the gospel. Next Sunday we will start our week of prayer (1-8 March). A mission brochure is available on the information table to guide our prayer for our missionaries and help us decide what our financial gift will be to the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering. Our Annie Armstrong Easter offering goal this year is: $2,500.
TUESDAY NIGHT WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY will help women of all stages of life develop a more meaningful understanding about their relationships with family and others. Renewing Love helps women realize their full potential as they focus on God's purpose for their life. This weekly study is taught at 10am & 6pm. Please sign-up (in the foyer) for the class you would like to attend. The study book is only $10.00. PRAYER MINISTERS pray during our Sunday Services (11am & 6pm); while we are worshiping the Prayer Ministers are in the prayer room. They pray for our visitors, our Pastor's message and prayer requests. We are in need of more help in this vital area of ministry.
